SHEIKH AHMED ABULFATHI FOUNDATION

Sheikh Ahmed Abulfathi foundation was originally established as an Islamic private school in 1952 in Maiduguri, Borno state, Nigeria. The aim of the school was to train the Muslims youth and inculcate in them Islamic virtues and moral/codes of behaviors. Based on the remarkable success and contribution of the primary schools, the Sheikh Ahmed Abulfathi Foundation was formed in 1992 to co-ordinate and promote the operation of the fast growing Islamic institutions of learning. OBJECTIVES The main aims and objectives of Foundation are as follows:-

• To provide high quality Islamic and Arabic Education to Islam.
• To provide moral and spiritual training to Muslims
• To promote Islamic ideals and virtues among the Muslim.
• To provide social services e.g. health services, road maintenance etc. to Muslim communities.

To train Muslim in science education.

1. To undertake Islamic propagation in its entire ramification including maintenance and building of mosques, centers, school, and day–care center.
2. To engage in building and maintenance of mosques and chemistries.
3. To organize and conduct Islamic ceremonies.
4. To initiate self – help project in other to promote peace, unity, co- operation and economic self-reliance among Muslims.

It is overseen by a Board of Trustees; the highest policy making body of the organization whose Chairman is Sheikh Muhammad Arabi Ahmad Abulfathi. Currently its activities include education of Muslim youths with primary and secondary schools under its care, provision of scholarships, humanitarian assistance for disaster stricken persons and Islamic propagation.
